The email has transformed business communications. Email is popular due largely to its convenience of it. It is essential to have your email account configured (Setup Emails) to Outlook, iOS, Android, and iPad operating systems.
If you are using Microsoft Outlook for the very first time, here’s a step by step guide for the initial configuration of an Email account in Outlook 2019 ( Latest Version).
Step 1: Open Microsoft Outlook. Locate the ‘select profile’ window option, and click the ‘confirm profile’ option with ‘Ok’.
Step 2: The next page says welcome to Outlook 2019’. Click on ‘next’ to get redirected to the next page.
Step 3: Enter your e-mail address.
Step 4: After entering your e-mail address, click on ‘advance settings’.
Step 5: In ‘Advance options’ locate the option ‘Set up e-mail account manually’.
Step 6: Click on ‘Connect’. The select account type window opens.
Step 7: Users have options like IMAP and POP3 to check email. IMAP is recommended. To check email through IMAP, click on IMAP account. For checking an email account using POP3, select a POP account.
Step 8: In the incoming section of e-mail, in server settings, submit the corresponding incoming mail server address.
Step 9: If you set up the IMAP account, in the incoming account, the Port (IMAP) field, select SSL from the encryption method list and enter port 993.
Step 10: For a POP 3 e-mail account, in the incoming email server, select TL5 from the encryption method by entering port 995.
Step 11: In the server, the outgoing email account section, enter outgoing mail server smtp.ionos.com and select TLS in the Encryption Method list.
Step 12: In the outgoing email section, enter port 587.
Step 13: Click on the ‘ next’ option.
Step 14: Enter e-mail account password
Step 15: Click on ‘ connect’
Step 16: The e-mail account is set up, click ‘Ok’.
Step 17: Email account is configured on Outlook successfully
Open Google Play Store on your Android device. Click’ Gmail’. If you find any ‘update’ option, you need to update it to the latest version ‘Snow Cone’.
Step 1: Open the Gmail application on your Android device
Step 2: You will find the Google account icon right on the top right of the device screen. Click on ‘Add new account’.
Step 3: Select ‘Google’ on the set-up email account screen. You will find various options like Google, Yahoo, and Hotmail. Click on ‘Google’.
Step 4: Enter the secondary email account address ‘Sign In’ option. Click on ‘Next’.
Step 5: Now, enter your email account password. If you don’t remember your account password, do ‘forgot password’ and retrieve your password.
Step 6: For two-way security, you can add another e-mail address and phone number. It is a recommendation to add a phone number for two-way security. Tap the option ‘Yes, I am in’.
Step 7: Accept the Google terms and conditions that appear on the device screen. Tap on ‘I agree’.
Step 8: Gmail account is set up on your Android device.
Step 1: Go to Settings on your iPad
Step 2: Tap on ‘Mail’ in settings
Step 3: Click on ‘Accounts’
Step 4: Click on ‘Add account’ and then select your email account provider. You will get options to choose between Google, Yahoo, Outlook, and Hotmail.
Step 5: Enter your e-mail address and password. If you forget your password, tap on Forget Password’ and set a new password after OTP verification.
Step 6: Tap on ‘Next’ and then ‘Verify’
Step7: Your e-mail account will be verified
Step 8: Click on the ‘save’ option.
Step 9: Your e-mail account is set up on an iPad. You can now log- in with your e-mail account credentials.
Step1: Navigate to the Settings of your IOS device.
Step 2: Find the section of ‘ mail’.
Step 3: Click on ‘Add account’. If you already have an e-mail account, tap on the email service provider. There will be various options like Hotmail, Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft. Tap on the desired option.
Step 4: Enter your email address. Click on ‘Next’
Step 5: Enter your password. Tap on ‘Next’.
Step 6: If needed, sync other options like calendar, photos, or contacts. Click on ‘ save’
